rmz 450 05 problem

went out on my bike yesterday and it feels like the clutch is engaging then not if you know what i mean ,it feels like the clutch is slipping then ok when i gas it does anyone know if this is a common problem and what is up with it

My buddies inner clutch basket broke on his 05. Worth a look.
