How about chocolate covered bacon? Yes really! Took my son and a buddy downtown Austin one evening and his buddy said "I want to find the strangest food down here and eat it, if it's candy all the better." No sooner had he said it and there was a candy store. We walked around and I saw the hand dipped chocolate bacon so he bought a couple pieces..... it was REALLY good! Salty and sweet

Awesome topic. I love bacon, but that maple smoked stuff is a sin to baconkind if you ask me......maple and bacon is wrong.

Beef jerky is pretty damn good too......

My father used to make waffles on Saturday mornings with bits of delicious bacon cooked inside and lots of butter and maple syrup. Now my boys love that tradition, especially before hitting the trail!

[Note: cook the bacon before placing in batter!]
