I'm looking for upper body protection. A good friend suggested that I look into the pressure suit type upper protection.
I'm in the southern NM desert so a nice breathing unit would suit me best. Most of the riding here is prime in the middle of the winter but I still try to get some early morning riding in in the summer.
So here's the unit I'm thinking about getting.

Has anybody used this setup?

If your worried about heat you DO NOT want to get a pressure suit. I started with one and loved it for the protection but it was HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. I now wear a regular chest protector with a kidney belt and forearm/elbow guards - it's MUCH MUCH cooler. Only time I'll wear my pressure suit now is in the middle of winter when it's 20 or below.

I use the pro pressure suit all the time, never used a chest protector. Can't imagine how hot it would be in the desert though. The arms are really tight and would probably be the first thing to rip if you're not careful taking it off or if you have Popeye arms. But I won't ride without it. It's very comfortable.

i never ride without my 661 pressuer suit
after seeing what gravel does to skin even with over clothes armour i would never use anything else
im in west australia and its hot here too but my skin is worth the little bit of heat

Never tried the 661, but I do wear the EVS Ballistic (coupled with the appropriate under armor) year round in the southeast US. When it's hot, I take it off when I get off the bike. Airflow is good while I'm riding.
