I need some advice on bike selection.

1) your physical size (both height and weight are important) 6,2 241 lbs
2) How physical / aggressive are you ? 6/10
3) what do you plan to ride- MX/SX tracks, woods, fields with friends or ????? woods, fields, friends
4) Do you have any riding experience? old enduro bikes

5) Do you think you will race ? probly not maybe against big 4 wheelers
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work? yes me and grandpa
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)? nope
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry? no but can travel
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike? $1200
10) Do you live in California? no
11) Your age? 16
12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion.

it needs to have power i know the gears and i want to have fun but not kill myself.

I would have to say look for a 1998-99 CR250. I would have said a 125, but your weight would make that a frustrating endeavor through the woods. I'm a big guy too.6'5" 220lb, and i had a 01 cr125, and it ran ok, but wasnt near enough.Be careful though a cr250 is a very potent bike for some. At your age you will be growing into it nicely. Just take it easy, and learn the bike at first.

Get a CR250, I loved my 96 CR250 and I'm not a big guy (5'10" 150lbs).
