I've never rode a bike with one BUT they sound ideal for hare scrambles. I have 2005 kdx220.
Any opinions on WER, GPR, Scotts, or others? Are they easy to install? Will they survive a crash? I'd like to see installed pics of each if anyone has them...

I love my scotts. Great in sand and tight stuff.

The Honda one is brilliant and would be worth the work to fit, 100% reliable nothing to slip etc.

I think I'm leaning towards Scotts. Either top mount or sub-mount. Afraid if I go with sub-mount it will push the handlebars to high though. did you get yours through BRP? great pic!

GPR and Scotts are very good. I use GPR because of the good service. If you keep your original receipt they will fix, repair or replace for free and if you don't have a receipt they charge 25 bucks. I sent a scotts back for repair for a charge of 100 bucks. Three weeks later I called and was told it couldn't be fixed would have to buy a new one. If you ride a lot you will need to send either one back for service sooner of later.

I bought my unit in 03. I have never had it serviced and it works great. I guess will see what happens. I only get to ride 5-6 times a year, so maybe thats why its lasting.
