It has started to bog down and you can only crank it by rolling it off. I checked the compression and it has 90 lbs. How much should it have?

Take the top end off and actually measure your tolerances.

It doesn't knock and there is no piston slap. It has 90 lbs of compression. I really don't want to pull the top end off unless I'm going to rebuild it. Does anyone know the correct compression? Also will a dirty or sticky kips valve cause it to run wierd and be hard to start? I cleaned the carb and the kips valve the best I could, checked the compression and it was at 90 lbs. I replaced the spark plug and we got it running, not perfect but running. My son rode it for about an hour then it stalled out and wouldn't crank. Everything looks ok and the compression was still at 90 lbs. I don't know much about the kips valve or if it can make the bike bog and run like crap. I've checked and cleaned the carb and everything else I know to do.

I am pretty sure even that KDX should push well over 100. 90 is damn near"I need a quad to pull start it time?"

my 1993 kdx250 has over 150 psi of compression. Your 200 should be well over 100. I know with my bike anything 120 or under its time for a top end. I'm sure your bike is close to those specs so its time for a top end.

90 is super low, assuming you are testing it properly.
If you have to push start it to crank it, then you are super low on compression and should tear it apart immediately.
