has anybody tried this? just thought it might take the harshness out of the forks. or will i have to pony up for some newer forks? any input is greatly appreciated! thanks.

those are pretty good forks stock, no?

i have ridden other bikes and could not believe the difference. my forks are ok. but i would like to get the harshness out of them. have tried many different things. no revalve but oil height, shims, clickers. don't have a ton of money to just buy a newer set of forks. just looking for a better working front end. thought maybe the sub tanks might help. also just read an article on the merge rrs spring. anybody ever tried these let me know. thanks.

are the forks on the other bikes stock, or modified?

yes they were stock.

I have an 05 yz125 and an 07 yz 250. and I can say the 2007 was much better stock then the 2005. 2005 was the first year yamaha went to the dual chamber fork and didn't get everything right. Maybe try and look up the differences from 05 to 06 models or newer and change whatever yamaha changed. just an idea... I'm the not much a suspension expert tho.. so i got no specific advice.
