I had three of those things..brought them out to Colorado and sold the entire pile to a fellow out there. They were peaky but fast for their size. They were in the 200 cc range but I had to race them in the 250 class ..and they were competitive.

Goofy things about them:

1) Had those Marzocchi forks with compression damping in one leg and rebound in the other...and all the flex you could stand.
2) Had wonderfull Ohlin shock with almost 14 inches of travel in the rear.
3) ATF in the forks with around 6inches of distance from the tops of the tube (Springs out, forks compressed) worked as a starting point when building the forks.
4) Keep an eye on the swingarm axle. I broke those often. Keep them greased and I had a machine shop turn me one with a harder chromoly steel (can't remember exactly the one) and I transfered it from bike to bike. It never broke.
5) Custom Craft re-sleeved one for me way back in the 1980's.....did a wonderful job.

They just ran and ran. tough as nails motor.

They aren't worth scrap prices for resale because they only have history in Europe were they did make impact on the 125cc world championship in 1983-84...AND those who truely understand that they are the beginning of the lineage for the current generation Husqvarna 2-Strokes.

When still on the East Coast, I credit one for starting the long association with MX for a Older fellow who...still races. He ran the thing in the 250AM class during the late 1980's for a bit before getting an 88 Honda CR250.

The last place I ran mine was for kicks trail riding at the VDR track in Colorado back in the early 1990's..last ride was chasing around with this guy with a 250 Kawaski and White number 55 plates...and the (stock) swing arm axle broke while playing flat track on the Oval which no longer is there. (SX track was built over it)
