SD/Iowa/Nebraska Guys or Anyone along I-29 Heading South

I am driving from Winnipeg, Manitoba to Apache Junction, Arizona. Google Maps and Mapquest give me a few options, the two most reasonable appear to be:

Option A - South on I-29 to I-80.

Option B - South on I-29 to I-90 to US 183 to US18 to US83 and finally to I-80.

Option B is close to 100 miles shorter but estimated time is similar likely due to being off the Interstate.

Any recommendations on either route?

I project you will see lots of snow on either. If it were summer then it would be all the same just corn insted of snow.
