Awesome shot Max.

How many riders were in your class that day?

Posted by: High Lord Gomer---------------------

LOL! If that was me in the pic, I would have written, "Here is me about to get lapped by the bulk of the C-Class!"

89R took me out there one day but we didn't get to ride...next time!

Funny story about that Rich.

When Max was two, I used to put him on the tank of my XR 350 and we would go up in the fire roads behind my house and skid corners all day.

When he was three, he could steer and work the throttle on the XR.

At four and a half, he started racing at the local tracks in the 50cc class. He had a unique style that the other riders didn't have. When the other riders would line up single file to get in a rut or a berm, Max would back it in under all of them and pass about 3 or 4 of them coming out of the corner. Everyone would look at each other and just shake their heads.

He never followed other riders, he would just slide around the outside of them or slide under them when they got in his way.

He won all six races in his first series and earned the number one plate one week before his fifth birthday. He went on to win the next four or five series in a row. Eleven years later he's 16 and still hauling the mail.

To say that I'm a real proud grandpa would be a huge understatement.

You guys had better watch out. I've got back-up now.

I figured a little 89r had to rub off on him somewhere along the way.

Maybe one day we'll look back on this thread and say "we knew Max when".

Tell grandpa to hook you up with Wikey, he can fix that.

suspention is good!
i just hit a knott 4th gear tapped!

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Was it hard pack and dusty? 4th gear tapped and started swapping, nice you are still around. Hence, time for the computer? And no videos, multiple angles? I know racing outside in January would be a big deal around here, its 1 degree this morning.
