cold weather

I live in Mass and its about a steady 20 degrees around here and there is an indoor track that i can go to in CT...so here is my question....my bike calls for the honda hp4...10W40..cause its a 08 crf250f..i was planning on switching to mobile 15w50..to far to a dealer and hp4 is expensive..after a search i saw that it was a bad choice for cold weather and could not find a alternative. any ideas? my bike has the HP4 in it now and i have a gallon to go till its empty...brand new bike bought it about 4 months ago. would sticking to one brand but changing the weight be better? if thats the case with the mobile having to change to suit the cold. thanks
