getting in shape! (In general)

It's amazing how much easier it is to throw around your bike when you are in shape!

I started conditioning about two weeks before christmas, and my squat has gone from 180 lbs to 315 lbs, whil my bench went from 145 to 215.

being in shape feels great!

and it's way easier to control your bike when you've got upper body stength!

Same revelation here but I've been concentrating on cardio and upper back muscles which were pretty sore last time I was at the track. 6 weeks later I can't believe the difference in my upper body and I had no 'wobbly' legs after riding for 2 hrs. at an indoor track. I have totally been converted to cardio workouts now.

How are you doing now?
I've been doing one-legged knee bends for three weeks now, and can do three sets of 25 reps. I'm also doing wall-sits and holding it steady for 2 1/2 minutes.

What other types of excercises are you doing to get in shape for the upcoming riding season?
