Alright I'm new on the DRN here and in dire need of some help here...
My bike was just completely striped down to almost nothing so i could fix the swingarm bearings and shock, because the loser tht owned the bike before me didnt know how to powerwash properly so all my stuff got rusted
long story short, i recently got it all back together and wanted to go for a ride, all i could think was yes finally!!!
but as i go to start the thing up it does nothing, all i get from the bike is some sputters of life and nothing more, a backfire here and there? but thts it...
I had it started recently so i could warm up the oil to change it but since then it wont start, any suggestions as to why this may be??? any help is much appreciated

If you had to take apart the engine, then you could have put together something wrong maybe? But if you did'nt, you should look at things like your carb, your carb may be gummed up if it sat for too long. Even if your valves have not been adjusted, that can make your bike harder to start. Look at simple things first.

You really need to check the valve clearances before you genade that thing. It's trying to tell you something.

Push starting and ether usually come right before a very expensive repair bill.
