TTR225 Springs

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

I bought a 2004 TTR225 for my 14 year old son last year (great price, decent trail bike), thinking that I could replace the springs as he grows. Well, he's put about 4 inches and 20 pounds on since last year, and although we don't do many jumps on our trails, he's bottoming out on a few now. I've checked fast50s and BBR, with no luck, and probably know the answer to this question: does anyone know if stiffer aftermarket springs for the TTR225 are available any where else? We'll probably just ride it for one more season if not, and trade up next year.

Call Racetech or Factory Connection. Either one will have them.

But you can also buy those from your local dealer if they are with Parts Unlimited, Tucker or WPS. They all carry them in stock.

Thanks for the information. I did not see springs listed for the TTR specifically listed on either of the sites, but Racetech has a contact number for more information, which I will call. I will post with the results after I contact them.

Progressive and Eibach make springs also.

Check their sites or like mentioned head to your local dealer. Yamaha may also have available springs in different rates. They do for the YZ bikes.
