I just traded my 1997 KDX 220 for a 2002 YZF426.I will miss my beloved and beautifully restored and maintained KDX,but I found I still love the MX tracks!! Soooo....The guy did not want the stock pipe,so I want to give it to someone who REALLY needs it. It is in great condition with just one tiny, nearly imperceptible ding in it.Could use some paint or a thorough cleaning. Just repay to me the shipping cost. Any takers? Thanks, flap

Hey flappy, remeber me......you so elegantly described in great detail the essance of kawasaki purple. Anyway, I noticed you traded your kdx for a mx bike. Well so did I. I traded my 03 220 for an 03 kx250 and I've never been hapier. I too long for the triples , the woops and the ambulance rides. I just made 31 and haven't raced since I was 20, but I don't think it's somthing you ever really lose. Sure you may be a lot more sore and need a little better suspension, but it'all comes back when the gate drops. Anyway, just thought I'd let ya know I feel ya. Don't let those kdxers give ya hard time about the switch. Trail ridding is fun.....a few times a year like maybe on a camping trip, but racing is a way of life. It lives deep inside us mxers....down in there next to that little voice that tells us ""nah, I'm ok to drive" and "she'll never find out". Write or wrong we can't fight it cause it wins every damn time! So race on Flapwick and I'll see ya on the front page.

Hey cowasucky!! Yup,I remember the eloquence, the poetry, the Shakespearian, nay,Biblical depth that was our previous correspondence. Congrats on the KX! That is awesome. My 426 is the first modern 4 stroke I've ridden and it is GNARLY. Huge power. It's like a nuclear powered tractor that only weighs 9 more pounds than my KDX. I'm 47 years old,but I may indeed have a few more races left in me after I get some more stamina built up.Either that,or they go to a 4 lap or 7 minute moto and I will dominate the 47 year old,250 pound, brown haired riders with blue eyes whose middle name starts with a G class!! Oh Yeah!!! The KDX guys are really great. I miss the fun and casual atmosphere that was in the KDX room. Some of the other rooms don't suffer fools so gladly, and I definitely like to have a little fun and be a bit foolish sometimes. Maybe I'm wrong, but life is alot easier when you're not always worried about being the smartest kid in class all the time.Anyway,I hope you have a great time on your new machine and stay away from those ambulance rides! I wish I could have gotten a chance to ride a 2 stroke 250 MX'er , but the guy with the 426 was the only guy who called me about a trade for my KDX,so after riding it for a day,I went for it! It is a much better bike for me than the KDX. Keep in touch, cowasucky, and tell me how you're doing on your new ride! flap

Chamber or muffler? I just gave my bro a kdx I got in trade and it's pretty rough. He may be interested as he's trying to clean it up.
