The problem with powering the front end up is that when the front wheel first starts to come up is when you need the most power but have the least. Once it gets up near the balance point, you need very little power to keep it there. As you get it up, the RPMs increase and you get more power exactly when you don't want it.
The nice thing about clutching it up is that you get a burst of power right when you do it to get the front end up, but then once the clutch fully grabs again, the RPMs drop and the power is back down to a manageable level and the front wheel is up to a point where you don't need much power to keep it there.

Yeah its diffucult......especially on a 125. I struggle in rollers keeping the front wheel up seems like once i get enough power to hold it I need to shift and then im off pipe in the next gear.
