Going to Wolverine on Sunday. riding both Sunday and Monday.

A great 2 days of riding. Tomahawk area seems much different from what I remember.
Oh and one more thing...... foot pegs are for your feet, not knees.

Looks like you might need a Band-Aid for that one....

Ouch,
I'm trying to figure out how the knee, footpeg contact could happen
Must have been speeding along huh. Heal well.

Well if you wouldn't ride in shorts....
Curious how the trails are different from what you remember?

It ripped my shin gaurd off in the process - shorts or long pants this was going to happen, no shin gaurds and I probably would be missing a knee cap. I was going relatively slow, hit a log, tank swap, came close to riding the bike right into the ground while coming down on the foot peg and grabed a fist full of throttle?? I'm not really sure - I never hit the ground, I rode it out; In hind sight, it probably would have hurt less if I just hit the ground or a tree or a rock...... it's whole new kind of sore today. The trails are better, the hard work put in by MB and others is taking hold / paying off.

minimally displaced fracture inferior patella with significant soft tissue swelling.........
(I broke the bottom of my kneecap in 2)
go to see the ortho monday, I am hoping no wire or screws or plates......

Dang, that stinks big time. Oh well, you've got all winter to heal up. Hope the surgery goes well!

Speedy recovery to you...ewwww...and ouch! Good luck!

Just got back from the consult with the ortho - could not have gone better. He said it was more of a crush than a break, the tip of my knee cap was broken off, no tendon damage. Told me to ditch the crutches and the wrap. No running or jumping but when the swelling goes down (couple weeks) gave me the green light to ride!!! Even coded the visit so there was no co-pay!!
Whooo Hooooooo!
