gears not picking up.

okay so i have an old 1983 SP125. it seems to be "skipping" gears. i'll switch into 1st with no problem. then try to rev it up and it just seems to be reving with no power. and i can switch it into 6th (6 speed) and then SOMETIMES it will pick up on the gear and start to bog.
any help would be app.

Time to check the clutch for adjustment and probably wear.

I agree somethings gotta be wrong with your clutch.

Your statement is a bit confusing. Is it that the clutch is not engaging, or is the transmission not actually shifting correcting.
Most of what you say sounds like a clutch issue, but usually the clutch will start slipping in the higher gears before you notice slipping in the lower gears.
Have you ever drained your transmission?
