1989 Yamaha XT350 Suspension

As the title says, I have an 89 XT350. Right now my front fork seals are busted and I'm going to have to change them.
The front shocks on this bike right now are very-very soft. I would like some stiffer ones. Are there springs I can get to stiffen it up, or would a set of shocks off of a xt500 work and make it stiffer?
