little brother's Cr80r - 52mm piston?

I was just wondering if anyone has used the 52mm Wiseco Supermini piston in a CR80 (year 2000)...
Stock piston size is 47mm, and I've heard from some people that to use the 52mm piston the cylinder needs to be sleeved, but others say you can just bore and replate.
The wiseco parts search says "cylinder sleeving required" under the piston listing... but in their pdf catalogue the same piston is listed and it does not say this.
Has anyone run the 52mm without a sleeve???
And if the 52mm piston DOES require a sleeve, could I use the 50.50mm piston Wiseco lists for the CR85R instead?
thanks,

Yes Eric built us one of those, it was AMAZING!

anyone know if the Forward Motion kit uses a sleeve? :P

I can't speak for Eric but I seriously doubt he would use a sleeve for that application.

I had a 52mm cr85 it was bored and plated no sleeve. You can use the 50.50mm for the 85 same deal just have it bored and plated.

No sleeve!

good to know
thanks

The cylinder gets bore oversize , then the port timing is corrected , then the cylinder gets replated . No need for a sleeve, plenty of aluminum left to properly support the cylinder. Dont forget to machine the head also to correct for the bigger bore and set the compression right .
