Not even sure what to say to this, it'd take hours to even come close to adequately conveying my disgust. The story is mainly on the right side of the link, the ladies e-mail on top, the sheriff's response below it.

Wow, what a pathetic excuse for an American she is. He makes the ultimate sacrfice for his country, and freedom, and she is upset on how the escorts rode and that they yelled at her. Boo hoo. What a sorry sack of ****!

Wow

I think this is how things are supposed to work. She didn't understand what was truly going on and got upset then wrote a letter to who she thought would be a good person to help and she got a reply.

The two sides had differing opinions but both sides were able to make their case.

I don't agree with her but I am glad that we still have some areas where both sides can say what they want and take responsibility for their words and opinion instead of trying to be politically correct.

My dad would defend her right to say that all day long and only say that he disagree with her but am glad she has the opportunity to voice her opinion and he his.

I think she knew what was going on (perhaps not the name and specific details but that should not matter anyway) and was just attempting to justify her actions. There are too many "what if this happened..." type of suggestions in there for her to be totally innocent. People rarely take two seconds to think a situation like this out it's all about them at that moment. Since the woman is so big on what if's perhaps since her son is in law enforcement in another location she should have asked herself if she would want somebody acting like she did at her son's procession if that were to happen. It is her right to express her opinion just as it is everyone elses to make their comment on it. I give two thumbs up to the bikers, the cops and especially the sheriff.

What a piece of work. She said she left an abusive relationship a year and a half ago? HA! I'll bet her ex-husband is still running.

Excellent response from the Sheriff.

Yup, the part she didn't clarify was that she was the abusive one

Ivan - I agree with your sentiments about freedom and rights and that is precisely what she fails to recognize...who defended our country and her rights. A bit ironic no?

Yup.

Speaking of irony, I was watching the Daily Show at a friends (I don't watch it normally) and they were interviewing these protesters in San Fran (or some other Kalifornia town) who were protesting the Marine recruitment station.

The reporter got one person on camera saying they were just their expressing their free speech and the reporter said, "Don't you wish there was some organization that was in the USA to protect your free speech?"

The dumbass replied "yeah, that would be great!" or something like that.

She was too stupid to realize that is what the Marines do every minute of every day.

The lady seems to have been screamed at by a biker for trying to use a lane that wasn't blocked, didn't need to be blocked? I'd be upset too.

I understand that this procession deserved and for the most part got the respect it deserved, but that doesn't give people the excuse to intimidate the hell outta some lady who didn't know what the plan was.

She complained about the personel that escorted this procession and their actions.

I know a guy who blocks streets for the Toys For Tots parades, and he's an egomaniacal idiot. The simple fact in my eyes is that if this was ecorted by police like it should have been, there likely would have been no issue.

In my local area, many of the Veteran's funerals are escorted by the Patriot Guards. Many times there are 100's of bikes and non law enforcement "escorts" to push away the wack jobs from that Kansas church. Unless I'm on fire, I can wait for a funeral procession, period.

The simple fact is, if the POS had just a little bit of respect for a member of the military that gave his life so she could have freedom of speech, there would have been no issue.

What a worthless piece of crap.

She has to be from Cali, sorry to say. These morons out here are more worried about getting where they're going instead of thanking those that make it possible for them to get there. There are people everyday that put themselves in harm way, here in the U.S. or overseas, so these thankless POS's can enjoy another day without being harrassed by gang members or having to dodge bombs at their local markets. This place is coming apart at the seams because the ACLU holds the razor blade.
