What a great ride!! Rain held off just long enough for us to get to lunch at the fire station and didn't get us too wet on the way back either Food was great, riding was awesome, and it's always good to see everybody before the snow starts falling

Got some video footage from the helmet camera that's up on Youtube. For some reason the quality is lacking after putting it on the internet, so I'm working on a fix to make it a little better quality, but for now, enjoy!

Posted by: BadgerMan---------------------

The quality will get better in a while.....it's grainy immediately after an upload.

Now get your homework done!

Posted by: Don Marsh---------------------

Almost like I was there, well I was at the trail crossings, with the Jeep!
Great weekend, good to see everyone.
Don

Posted by: KTM Mike---------------------

Mark and I had a great time to! We sure lucked out with the weather. Great to see everyone as well. We rode today with Smit Dog and his family - nice ride, weather was way better to!

Posted by: KTM Mike---------------------

Ian - I just watched the helmet cam video - FANTASTIC STUFF! I hope you are going to post some more - like that A/B section just before lunch.

Posted by: RedGreen---------------------

I do have a lot more good footage, but you'll have to wait until after my homework unfortunately, the card was full going into that section just before lunch, so there's no footage from that... should have more up later this week though.

Posted by: KTM Mike---------------------

Bummer nothing from that section, but there was some great stuff after lunch to. I will look back here for some more video! Nice music choices to!

Now...get back to homework!

Posted by: superdave748---------------------

Dude thanks for posting videos. that was one of the funnest times i have ever had on my dirtbike. thank you Lansing Motorcycle Club for putting this together, will definately be there next year.

Posted by: ws6transam---------------------

Eye opening to be sure,
I hope we can do it again next year! My daughter watched that video with me and she was like "wow, that looks tight!", and I told her that this was the open section. I too, would like to see more video if you have it.

Posted by: RedGreen---------------------

alright, i'm working on the other footage, but until then, here's the trials video some of us were talking about around the smoke factory after dinner on saturday

Posted by: iroc8210---------------------

I enjoyed myself. Riding new trail is always fun. It was great putting some more faces with names and I'm glad ya got to meet me...I'm sure I'll be back next year.

I think I know where you are talking about. I just about injured myself too, in maybe the same spot.
Maybe I'll recognize it on the video.

Loved the video. Thanks for sharing!

I think there was a hole with a tree root on the far edge 'cause I bottomed my forks trying to fly through that mud so I think I know the spot. I COULD SEE SOME ONE RATTLING THE "BOYZ"

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

Red Green,

Thanks for the video of the roughest section - lots of whoops. Thanks for being polite to the other riders. You should install roll offs on the camera.

Good stuff!! Now get back to studying the books!!!

Mike

Danny is unbelievable, and I can't believe my own eyes. We watched it four times.

Good for sure, unbelievable, not. Anyone have a link to Cody D's Trailfest vids from 2 years ago. That stuff was nuts.

Posted by: D.LEATHERS---------------------

Damn, watching that video makes me wish I had rode this one instead of hanging back at the clubgrounds. Oh well, there is always next year. Awesome video THANKS for sharing it.

Dave Leathers.

I believe he was referring to this video, which is much more unbelievable than my helmet camera video

Posted by: TCTrailrider---------------------

Ian, that Vid was nuts, thanks for posting.

Posted by: TJC510---------------------

Dave, its worth riding EVERY year. every weather is fair weather

Posted by: RedGreen---------------------

second video is up, but without the audio...

Here's your 9 minutes of fame, Craig

there's even a glimpse of the elusive "Golden KTM" near the end

I hear if you catch the Golden KTM, you are granted three wishes needless to say, I did not catch it issed:

anyway

No one's mentioned the two bonfires that were going at camp-- I imagine the big one in the center is probably still burning. That one put out enough Infrared heat that you could probably roast a hot dog from ten feet away.

Posted by: KTM Mike---------------------

More great video Ian! The music kinda sucks on this one though.... ;^)

The big brush pile was still smoldering Sunday afternoon...

haha, I had the theme from Rawhide on this one, but Youtube didn't like that...so I got muted

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Good trail video, great eclictic music. "Movin' to Montana, gonna be a dental floss tycoon!" Classic!

Posted by: RedGreen---------------------

i tried to use music that i had in my head while riding gotta love Frank Zappa

Posted by: 70 marlin---------------------

More great video! That section “the slime oozing out from your tv set!”

Posted by: Loctite---------------------

Red Green - Thanks for the 9 minutes of fame. I did not know you were behind me in that section. I see you had no trouble keeping me in view...

Very cool to see yourself in action

Thanks,
Loctite

I guess I will have to take the blame for that.

Just remember, it’s always a good idea to carry "a pair of heavy duty zircon encrusted tweezers” in your fanny pack.

Don't worry dad, there are worse bands you could have introduced me to...

I suspect that you have not yet explored the dark corners of Frank Zappa’s repertoire and would advise you not to as such an adventure will most surely leave an indelible skid mark on the surface of your young and impressionable lump of gray matter. If there are “bands” out there spewing forth lyrics that describe such things as bodily functions in a more vivid manner that Frank did, all I can say is “God help us”.

Posted by: ws6transam---------------------

I don't know but I think the poetry of Jim Morrison might have been even worse. ..but that is so off-topic I won't wanna go there, ever!

Posted by: TCTrailrider---------------------

Dynamo hum, hum, hum, Dynamo hum.
Frank was a bit different.

Posted by: fatherandson---------------------

Every year some people leave their gas cans at the clubgrounds. If you did not bring home your gas can from Trailfest, let me know.

Please do not say I left a red gas can in the truck....they are ALL red in color.

Mike

Posted by: iroc8210---------------------

Posted by: bruno670---------------------
