Hi,

As most of you probably know, older bikes (and newer) get plauged with rattley kick starts that loosen off and start swinging out on corners etc. Just wondering if anyone knows any tricks to get them tightened up again?

replace the ball bearing, spring and seal that is in the kick starter knuckle.

Any ideas where i could order these things?

You may just have to buy a new one. The seal, spring and ball bearing don't do anything to accommodate for wear. Kick starters come with little or no grease from the factory and they are prone to wear fairly quickly. They have even less lube than other bears on the bike...if you can believe that! Once the metal wears away there is not much you can do to fix it.

When you do get a new one, take it apart and lube it up good before you use it. Once you see inside you'll understand why it wore so bad in the first place.
