Posted by: RMrider---------------------

CAL,

I am interested in the KTM. I do have to get my mustang sold before I can buy a new bike though and who knows how long that will take (I'm pricing it to move though). Which FMF pipe does it have? Fatty,Gnarly, or SST?

Thanks,
Ty

Also would you meet half way? I'm in Springfield, IL

Cal . did you get my e-mail.>?

Posted by: CAL---------------------

Got it. You should have mail.

Posted by: CAL---------------------

As of yesterday, the KX is sold to Stu182.

Here is a pic of the KTM. It's still for sale.

Posted by: CAL---------------------

OK, I just got back from delivering the KX to stu182.:D

The KTM has got to go. This bike is my dad's. He says $2000 takes it and INCLUDES SHIPPING to ANYWHERE in the US.

I know someone is looking for a good, solid, cheap bike to ride.

For $2000 we will crate the bike and ship by Forward Air.

The bike runs good. It has very smooth power delivery, with good low rpm torque. Not quite as fast as the KX, but more low rpm grunt. The only thing it needs is fork seals ($70 installed by KTM dealer).

Posted by: CAL---------------------

The KTM will not only go for $2000 shipped, if you pick it up, you can have it for $1800.

Now for the special:

If you want the bike(willing to pay down payment) and are going to Dirtweek or need a ride for Dirtweek, we will bring the bike to Dirtweek to you for $1800. That's $1800 delivered to Dirtweek! Can't beat it with a stick!

If you want to hear the bike run, call me. I'll let you listen over the phone. Heck, I'll even send you an 8mm tape or VHS tape of the bike running.

Dying that I don't have $2000. This looks like a great bike for the price. If it's still around in 6 mos., consider it sold. Good luck, though!!!

btw- Ohlin's suspension? Was that stock in '97???????

Posted by: John.T---------------------

Zio borrow,or beg for 400 bucks! Heck If I had it Id lend it to yah! Well:think You might have to give colateral! I tried a search on KTM'S and I seen some with the same shock? So I dunno

Posted by: CAL---------------------

I assumed the suspension was factory.:think

The bike definately won't be around in 6 mos. With as many inquiries as I have gotten I would have thought the thing would be sold long time ago. I've never sent so many emails in my life. Selling two bikes over the internet is a job.

Wayneo426 sounds pretty interested, hopefully he will be taking it.????

Of course there have been about 300 other people that have been "really interested" also.:silly:

Posted by: zio---------------------

I know what you mean. When selling my CR a while back, I thought I'd never get rid of it. Seemed like teenage goons came out of the woodwork to pester me. I've never had that much trouble selling any car.

Oh well. GL!

Posted by: wayneo426---------------------

Corey, you have mail!

Posted by: NEMX305---------------------

With the small tank and the 19 inch rear wheel, the KTM is an SX not an MXC. Heck of a good deal though. Tim

Posted by: CAL---------------------

The KTM is now sold to Wayneo426. Being delivered to Dirtweek, then going home to New York.

Ahhhh, the power of DRN.
