I got caught riding after dark yesterday (Cedar Creek). I have DS'd my 250xcw but have not ridden after dak with it until last night. Boy is this light dim. I would like to have more light so i can plan some night rides. I was thinking about a helmet lighting system but I don't know anything about them. What do you guys suggest?

google trail tech

I went with the trail tech stator, fly wheel and rectifier combo, which I'm very happy with. The HID stuff is bright but expensive and slow to get to full brightness. I'm much happier with my cheap AC stators and $10 55watt fog light from Meijer on two other bikes. It's super bright of idle and doesn't reqiure an expensive battery.

Thanks, I'd like to go with a helmet system as I have two other bikes that are DS'd, A 250X and an old 250 KLR. I'd like a system that can follow me from bike to bike. The KLR has a strong headlight and does not need as much help. The xcw and the X are very dim as compared to the KLR.

What in our sport isn't??

If you want the best and brightest, trail tech is your company. I'll spend some extra dough to make sure that I can see well. Good insurance.
