Compression adjustment doesn't bottom out?

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Hey I have a 2001 YZ250 and the right fork compression adjuster doesn't bottom out like the left one does? I have a mild leak in the fork seals as well so will probably be pulling it to change it out.

What gives? Search function isn't working for me...

I have the two exact same problem with my 2001 YZ125 fork.

I am looking for more info about the issue with the adjuster that doesn't bottom out.

Thanks,

No one?

The compression adjuster is on the bottom of this fork . If it does not bottom out the adjuster screw is most likely striped out .
You should replace the assembly.

The screw is on the top of the fork?

OK , that is the rebound adjustment screw, you should replace the fork cap.

I don't know how it got damaged but I'll look into it. Thanks... Need to pull the forks top change seals anyway. Anyone know where to get the steering head adjustment tool?

Anyone know where to get one thats better than the 200$ from biker bandit?

That too, I meant the fork cap though brother Thanks!

Also make sure the fork cap is FULLY threaded onto the damper rod until it bottoms out. If not threaded ALL the way on the adjuster screw can run out of threads .Check this also . I may have a cap . PM me
