Metcalf to Suzuki, Millsaps to JGRMX.. Wonder where the rest will land..

Does Short keep his Red Ride? We already knew that Trey would be taking one of the Red bikes, but will both of them be up for grabs?

How about Reed? Does he retire or go Orange?

Then you have a woods guy running the team that Roger left. With help from the Goat of course, but he's still racing taxicabs, so how much help will he really be?

DV12 is back stateside at MotoConcepts. I wonder if he'll bring his countryman to ride there?

Looks like a lot of changes are going to happen this off season.

Should be interesting at Anaheim 1.

Posted by: XRpredator---------------------

I hope the change lights a fire under Millsaps' ass. Sounds like Honda is dumping Short. Maybe they want the Warrior? Is it true that L&M is looking for someone new? Does that mean Stewart is on his own? Riding at all? Can Villopoto stay healthy?

by the looks of things, Dungey is again going to be hard to beat.

questions abound

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Honda has Canard, and I hope they land Pourcel, or keep Townley close at least. If Dungey keeps the plate for 2011, I will buy a Suzuki t-shirt. Vintage Bob

"Woods guy?"... running the team that DeCoster left?...

Posted by: MXSparx---------------------

BREA, CA – October 4, 2010 – (Motor Sports Newswire) – Rockstar Makita Suzuki is proud to announce off-road racing legend Mike Webb will be leading the championship efforts as Team Manager for both the AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross series in 2011. Webb has been a staple in off-road racing for nearly three decades and is currently at the helm of the 2010 GNCC off-road team as they take the Suzuki fuel-injected RM-Z450 to the championship in that series. In his storied history, Webb has helped Suzuki earn countless championships in off-road racing and has been the Team Manager for the GNCC bike efforts since 1992.

I tried to write that post in a way that Bob could understand..

Short signed by KTM this morning

Posted by: Wolf---------------------

Hmm, As a KTM fan I'm not too excited about that, but who knows...with DeCoster at the helm maybe short will finally step up?

Is Alessi still riding the 350?

Posted by: dirt bike dave---------------------

MXA's article says Alessi and Marvin Musquin will be Short's teamates. I imagine Alessi will get to pick 350 or 450 each week, depending on what he likes best for the track.

Kyle Regal signed to be bubbas team mate at San Manuel Yamaha

The same Kyle Regal who rode with Zach Osborne for Puerto Rico in the MXoN?

Interesting that Bubba was rumored to also be riding for Puerto Rico after not making the USA team. But then Team Bubba shot the slanderous rumor down, lol.

Posted by: pesky nz---------------------

The 350 that Alessi rode at Glen Hellen Wrld GP went a bit too fast up the start straight for me to believe it was only 350 After all both "350" bikes smoked KTM's 450 off the start line and all the other brands too. It would not be cheating to grow the motor but it would be BS to claim a little motor if a full sized one is being used. (back when Smets was King in Europe his Berg was anything from 400 to 600 depending on off cambers 400 or sand 600. This info was passed to me by his mechanic.)

Posted by: dirt bike dave---------------------

Not sure if KTM is honest about the displacement on Mike's bikes, but FWIW, Alessi has always been a great starter.

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

K-Dub signed for 2 more years, thats awesome!

Posted by: Vic---------------------

This should be a great year, IF most can manage to stay healthy.

I agree, and Shorty has the knack for starts as well. They both just peter out too soon afterwards.

Maybe RD has some ideas about how to remedy that.

Grant to Honda.. http://www.racerxonline.com/article...da-10-8-10.aspx

That leaves Reed out.. So, does he go it alone this year?

Posted by: dirt bike dave---------------------

Grant was very fast when he was on the smaller Hondas for Factory Connection, so he could do well. He has not had the best luck or results the past few years.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Reed. In this economy, I'll bet salaries are getting rolled back, and maybe he was holding out for too much.

Posted by: Chili---------------------

Interesting combination for Honda, get them both on the podium and Canard can thank the man above and Grant can flash Douche bag Mulisha wanna be gang signs.

Posted by: Wolf---------------------

LMAO Chili...

Posted by: pesky nz---------------------

It all sounds foolproof but I believe in the ability of fools so up until the first race there will be speculation. I just hope BT lives up to his full potential and a kiwi takes another title

Posted by: Chili---------------------

You talking about a GP title? As of now Townley has no plans to race US SX in 2011 and doesn't have a ride lined up for outdoors as of yet either.

If Dungey is on the podium also, Grant will be outnumbered, if not out gunned.

hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Good verses evil, again? So nascar. BUT, maybe Grant can string some nice races together again? And who ever reported Reed was over his debilitating virus?

BT has always wanted to race in the USA so he will be doing all he can to stay state side. Maybe even win as a privateer

Posted by: IndyMX---------------------

I have heard, from a pretty good source, that Reed and Pourcel are done deals at KTM.

Posted by: XRpredator---------------------

Reed on a Honda with Hart and Huntington . . .

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Somebody really wants a KTM SX Championship, yuck!

Posted by: IndyMX---------------------

Seems like it.. They must have all the money this year..

Why yuck? You no like the euros Bob?

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

KTM selling all those smokers has some money to burn? 79 was the last euro year that I recall a competitive bike came here, and it was a Maico! And not to mention a decent dealer nearby! Now if Service Honda started selling them? That 250 sx is light and fast! All it needs is some white plastic. And of course making it when 2 strokes lined the gate would have been nice. Now, what does it matter? Dropping that kind of coin on a new bike, I would go see AJ at Service first. Young guys looking for a sponsor, got to go with Japan. Do you see the orange crate at the track with sponsored local racers? Do they have an aggressive contingency program here, anything?

Nope. Remember Red Bud, money to burn, setting up outside the usual staging and stealing some valued spectator area! Anyway that aside, did you say 1979 Maico?

Posted by: pesky nz---------------------

It took DeCoster quite a while to get Suzuki working, so likely the same at the pumkin patch. Money isn't enough on its own. At that level the std bike is only a small part of the potential outcome. If Dungey retains his mechanics and close back up then most people will only see his rear guard next season. However last year the "stars" all fell to injuries. If he is head to head with Reed and Bubba and all are fit then we will see a show and a half.

Posted by: MXSparx---------------------

BTO signs Michael Byrne
Chad Reed riding a Vodafone Honda in Oz this weekend but still has no deal for 2011 in the US. Speculating a move to 4 wheel racing.
Villopoto back on a green weenie.

Posted by: pesky nz---------------------

Chad owns the Oz Super X franchise so maybe people are standing back until he finishes fit to race US season. Either way lots of potentialy race winning privateers

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

There is going to be some great racing this weekend! How to record on the computer?

Posted by: pesky nz---------------------

There was great racing yesterday in Sydney with 2 wins for Chad and 2 seconds for Josh Hansen. Chad was on a VODOFONE honda with PRO CIRCUIT top end and suspension mods, he also said he is still negotiating a USA ride. He looked sharp and no sign of fatigue, at the interview directly after dual stag final races he was not even sweating. Ben Townley was also in a live interview wearing Toy Lee Design shirt talking about next season in USA, so both are coming after OZ super x series

1 1/2 hours ago BT anounced on live radio in NZ thet he is going to europe to race green as a result of his being noticed at the MX of Nations so the silly one this season seems to be me for not believing. Maybe the Bubba SX only BT outdoor only team may surface ? Now thats a rumour to speculate on

Posted by: IndyMX---------------------

Ivan Tedesco signed with Hart/Hunnington...

I guess that opens the door for Chad Reed to move back onto a blue bike...

Posted by: IndyMX---------------------

Just read that Chad can't find anyone to hire him, so he's going to do a JLaw and start his own team..

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Grant is going to be on fire.

I'll bet Chad COULD find someone to hire him, just not at anywhere near the pay he used to get.

Times are tough, even for Warriors.

Posted by: whenfoxforks-ruled---------------------

Warrior or not, if he had a cape, he would have a job.
