Help needed with camshaft chain

Hi.I'm new in 4strokes and just on the end of engine rebuilt but in trouble with camshaft chain.
What i should look after when installing the chain?
It's an '04 Kx250f
1.Camshaft markings fit.
2.Ignition cover marking between flywheel 2 stripes.
3.Anything else ?

Put your piston on Top Dead Center on the compression stroke. You can place a plastic rod down the spark plug hole to determine TDC and then check it on the flywheel mark. Your service manual will spell out the amount of pins that should be between the marks on the cam chain sprockets. With the piston at TDC, count the number of pins/rollers between the marks. Adjust accordingly.

I agree with the above. Also your cams should be facing opposite and outward. Like this
