Im looking for a new bike is it worth it to buy new? or should go used. Because i know the bike will deprecate fast so i dont know if i should or not. let me know!

It depends on 1) your bank roll 2) Your knowledge of what to look for when buying a used bike and 3) your mechanical ability. Personally, I would never buy a new bike. If I was loaded with cash, I would buy a new bike every year...why not? Ive bought and sold several used bikes in the last few years trying to determine what I want. I have 2 and I sold one to a friend...all 3 are reliable and have been low maintenance. The key is knowing what to look for when buying used.

Hey thanks! that does help me out, the best thing for me would be finding a used bike.

A lot depends on how hard you ride, how important it is to be top of the line and how reliable you need the bike to be.

I have friends who are serious into racing and they buy new bikes every couple of years because they wear the old ones out. They have so much invested in a race that it just isn't worth it to risk some stupid part breaking.

If you are just riding for pleasure and having to nurse a slightly crippled bike back to camp isn't going to ruin your entire year then you can save a lot of money by buying used. Keep in mind that when my racing friends sell their bikes it may not last them another season but it would last me the rest of my life!

When looking for a used bike keep in mind that there is a big difference between "used" and "neglected". A bike that has been well used but maintained is likely to provide you with better service than one that has been neglected and left to rot for years.

go used but make sure it is complete new the bike goes down in price the second you take it home

The biggest question for me would be 2 stroke or 4 stroke? You would pretty much have to give me a used 250F to take it and I would need to steal pretty much any 450F I'd consider used just so I could tear it down and make sure I know it's right internally.

I might not ride my bikes as hard as some of your guys, but I have never bought a bike just to take it home and tear it down. All 3 of the bikes I have bought recently run like a champ...of course, Im not buying clapped out 250Fs. The key is to be smart about your purchase.

I want to get a 4 stroke.

A used bike is probably what ill go for.

You can really get screwed buying a used bike, especially a 4 stroke, if you are not educated on what to look for. Hopefully you know what you are doing.
