1985 KDX200 twin leading shoe front brake modification ?

Someone might know. Can anyone recall the single leading shoe front brake being modified or replaced with a twin leading shoe ?

Something like this ?

I had an '84, and don't remember seeing anyone do anything like that back in the day.

The stock brakes were weak even by '84 standards, so no doubt that mod would have helped.
