Indy Mile cancelled.

Due to the tragedy at the Indiana State Fairgrounds last week and the ongoing investigation into the incident, the AMA has cancelled the event.

Apparently, there is debris laying on the dirttrack and cannot be removed until the investigation is complete.

Sad. The tragedy as well as the cancellation.

While I am sympathetic to the need to do an investigation, is is really necesarry to shut the track down? Seems like you just need to identify the debris and where it landed. Photograph and record that information, then clear the track.

Hard to believe cancelling the race really improves the investigation that much.
