OK newguy to MX here, I have an 05 XR250R and want to improve the suspension. I am looking at inverting the forks. What type of fork can I get to fit this to give me the closest I can get to an MX bike. I love this XR and know I wont really win the championships but just having fun. On a side note I also have pulled the spark arrestor and seems to have much more power. Is this really true or is it just because the cool noise it seems that way?

Some guys have taken the forks from a KX125 or 250, along with the upper and lower triple clamp, and made them work. Search KXR284 cuz I think Patman did a thread about it.
As far as removing the baffle, put it back in. Loud sucks.

CR250 forks are a pretty good fit. Use the CR tripleclamps too. The downside to this is, once you get the front end working good, the back end will not be able to keep up. There is not a lot that can be done to improve the back end other than revalving the original shock imo.
I agree with Pred. Keep your bike quiet. We have lost a tremendous amount of riding land and many tracks because of loud bikes.

Thanks, I agree loud sucks, and when in woods I would deff have back in. Was looking for more power when on track, the noise was just an added bonus haha
