New bike: Are bearings greased from factory

My brother just bought a new CRF 450R. I was under the impression that the factory didn't grease the wheel bearings, swingarm linkages and so on. Can anybody confirm this. Don't want him wearing out stuff prematurely. Thanks

Better safe than sorry.

All my past bikes, new or used, gets a good service job before riding.

There must be a grease shortage in Japan because they don't put a lot of grease in the bearings on new motorcycles. Like Mully said, do your own service and be sure to use a good brand of WATERPROOF grease.
