01' yz125 Suspension setup.......

What would you guys recommend the suspension setting on a yz125 01' for a 5'11 125lb kid would be? I am jumping/racing. I know I should get them revalved and resprung, but what can I do with the stock settings? Peace

You really should at least consider springs. They are on the stiff side for you. Once you get them you will find your ride a bit more acceptable, although on the stiff side yet.
Set your clickers to these settings for a starting point.
Forks
comp 15 out
reb 10 out
Shock
Comp
LS 15 out
HS 2 1/4 turns out
reb 9 out
set your sag to 100-105mm. Your spring is still going to be too stiff though. You should consider a 4.4kg shock and .38kg fork springs for sure.
