Battle of the Admins at DW01

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Last year was supposed to be the first ever showdown of the mighty... mighty-slow that is, Adimns of this great site we call DRN. Okie, founder and creator of DRN Vs. Thump, humble helper and antagonist. Just before the event last year my wife was attacked by a dog and had extensive surgery so I was unable to come to the event... This year it is back on, in a big way. I had ACL reconstruction surgery in late December but a recent MRI shows all is good. I am not back to full riding form yet but in far better shape than last year and I am regaining my old riding form by the day. Let there be no mistake, I am an overly competitive individual and I will train for this like it has a million dollar, winner take all purse.

Okie, I am officially calling you out. You gonna step up or back out like a coward?

The facts:
Okie- YZ250f
Thump- Eric Gorr YZ420F

Okie- 45ish
Thump- 29

Okie- Devious, sneeky SOB
Thump- More devious & sneeky SOB

Okie- Spodely and pathetic
Thump Sporty and athletic

The bet:
Winner gets bragging rights.
Looser gets public humiliation and has to wash the winners bike, helmet, goggles and boots each night in a speedo... well maybe just shorts cause I have no intrest in seeing Okie's old butt in a speedo.:scream:

One thing is for sure, if you don't register soon you will only hear about this event and kick yourself for not being there to see it. You only have 36 days left to register so you better not wait cause the postal service is not always timely. After 8.27.01 you will be too late and have to wait for the next year and the 2nd annual Battle of the Admins.

Register here, register soon:
http://dirtweek.com/index1.html

Posted by: SpeedyManiac---------------------

It's gonna be close, so I'm not betting on one or the other. Thump does have the power advantage, but Okie may use some almighty sneekiness and get another member to take out Thump. It's going to be epic!!!

Posted by: smb_racing---------------------

I keep seeing interesting events like this planned and it's making me want to register. I'll have to check my schedule for september.
What ever happened to stevenberry shortcake anyway :think

Posted by: CC_RIDER---------------------

OK Thump, you got my vote.

You've got every advantage.
Heck, you're even from my neck of the woods.

But truthfully, I'm secretly pulling for Okie.

Hey, us old folks have to stick together!

Now the North/South race, that's another story!
The South shall rise again!

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Do you begin to believe yourself if you type it enough?

Come on September.
(pss... the built-in excuse: "I got a boo-boo on my knee" was a smart move.)

Posted by: KXKen---------------------

The whole thing sounds frkking stupid to me. Let them race and let the best man win.

Posted by: MXSparx---------------------

It's not September yet, Thump may still find a way to miss the race :think
He'll probably SAY he got lost on his way to Illinois, since everyone would believe that anyway :D

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Don't hold back now... what do you really think?

And Thump... 45ish? Sheez man.

Posted by: biglou---------------------

"Interesting poll results so far", I think to myself as I sit quietly on the fence!:D

Posted by: Vic---------------------

If Thump can't beat Okie with a 10+ year age and 15 or so horsepower advantage :think , well, there's always crochet.

Posted by: xrsforever---------------------

Put your money on the Texan. Better yet let him borrow a YZ250F,and let the races begin.

Posted by: Dr.billZ---------------------

Y'all interested in a little slow trailriding against an old man?

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

I'm sure Offroadr will be happy to put the wood to you..uh... I mean take you thru the woods.

Posted by: Patman---------------------

If Thump can't pull it off he's being deported to Illinois to be Okie's permenant Pit Sally.

Posted by: ktmboy---------------------

What's the course gonna be like? If it's really tight my money is on the 250F.

Posted by: RM250boy---------------------

i gotta go with the underdog... plus i think thump sounds a little too hyped up... lots of smoke and mirrors doesnt impress me... OKIE will teach the young Grasshoppa :D

Posted by: _SOLO_---------------------

I'm goin for Thump on this one. Okie sounds confident but I don't think I can pull for anyone that wears depends.

Posted by: SpeedyManiac---------------------

ROTFLMAO@ _SOLO_!!!!!!!

Posted by: Patman---------------------

SHHHHHHHHH!!! Come on you guys he's working on that issue

Posted by: Strick---------------------

Isn't this one of Okie's hometown tracks. Thump is from Texas rgiht? Everyone is a fast rider when they are hometownin' someone!!

Thump, be safe! AND get some pictures posted of Okie in a speedo washing you're bike. Put them in the women's forum, so DRN doesn't lose too much membership.

Posted by: Treejumper---------------------

Seeing as i never seen either one of them race before, i voted for just fun to watch. We hear all this talk and hype then something almost always come up. Hopefully not since i cant wait to see this race. I'm still waiting for some no namer to show up and wipe the track with everyone there.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

I was there last year

Home town track? It's a five-hour drive (each way) to get to my "home town track". I've ridden it twice when it wasn't 12" deep mud... Spodefest last year and 3 weeks ago.

Posted by: Strick---------------------

Aha, He is practicing!!

Posted by: _SOLO_---------------------

I don't blame him, he needs all the practice he can get

Posted by: MBFTY---------------------

I think those are better suited in the Flames forum!

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Ya see, I was there... mr. athletic supporter had some dog bite his wife for an excuse.

Posted by: LWilson250---------------------

Someone needs to video tape the race and put it on the site. Or even better put a helmet cam on Thump. This sounds like it’s going to be an epic race. Where is it going to be held?

Lee Wilson

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

If I can get my AF sold, I'm getting a digital cam and helmet cam for DW '01... and you're right Thump better be the one wearing it, if I do, you won't see anything but open track. :D

Posted by: biglou---------------------

I'm bringing my helmet cam! If you can stand the stinky helmet, you're more than welcome to it! Better yet, a new strip of velcro would solve that problem.
BTW-What would a race be without "Lappers"? I do a heck of a lapper impersonation!

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Don't forget, the Oklahoma Flag is STILL the Seveth Flag OVER Texas. Go for it, OKIE!

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

They're song isn't "YELLOW Rose" for nothin'. We'll see how many of the talkers line-up. Poor ole' billywho will be the only one on "TeamTejas" to show up and he's from California and a pro... sheez.

(and yes billy, Team Illini has you covered.)

Muwhahahahhaha!

Posted by: BillyWho---------------------

I have FAITH in my teammates, maybe I'll bring minime for backup

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Faith and luck will play no part in the obliteration of the North... Skill, determination and fear of washing a bike in a speedo will prevail.

Billy said if the south looses he will wash all of the northerners bikes in a thong. Right Billy?

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Quote:

I can't speak for the ladies but;
Nah, no, really no, that's okay. No need for a thong. Really. :scream:
Regular ole' shorts will do just fine. Thanks anyway?

Northerners?
That's YANKEE to you redneck

Quote:
Faith and luck will play no part in the obliteration of the North...

That's been said before and is as silly now as it was the first time.

Posted by: BillyWho---------------------

Quote:

You mean like Daisy Duke Type of shorts?

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

No Daisy Dukes, more like some shorts barrowed from M. C. Hammer!

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Brian! LMAO!!! Ugly visual, but funny as hell.

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

I guess we could say, "The looser has a crack problem".

The votes are about even!

By the way, where is StevenB8? Didn't he have something to do with that "boo boo" on Thump's knee?

Posted by: TwinSpar---------------------

You know the nice thing about LASIK assisted 20/15 vision???? I'll need it to find Okie way back there in the dust.

I'm baaaack.... new... and improved. Now what did I do with that bionic hamstring???

Bout the only thing that StevieBerry had to do with the booboo was a laced samich!

Posted by: jeffd---------------------

Sorry Okie - but I gotta back my boys from the great lone-star state! Go get 'em Thump!

-jeffd

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Truth of the matter is, Thump and TwinSpar and Patman are much better, faster riders than me... it won't be much of a contest. I just want to be competitive to the first turn, after that, they can duke it out, I can handle getting beat, I just don't want to get lapped. All this smack talk coming from the south, I had to put up some kind of a fight, ya know?

Posted by: Patman---------------------

:silly:

Posted by: Patman---------------------

Known facts:

1. Thump, TwinSpar, and Okie can all smoke Patman on the track (Patman don't ride the tracks no mo'.)

b. Patman can smoke Thump, TwinSpar, and Okie in the trees (Thump, TwinSpar and Okie don't ride in the trees)

Posted by: MTC---------------------

Lesser known facts:

1. After Thump, TwinSpar, and Okie smoke Patman in the trees, Patman challenges them to a battle on the track.

b. After Thump, TwinSpar, and Okie smoke Patman on the track, Patman challenges them to a battle in the trees.

This continues for quite some time .

Then you better keep the AF cause you minibike has no prayer of hanging with the Thunder Wagon down the stretch.

And you are going to let us duke it out?.... This is battle of the Admins... You... Me.... alone on the track to duke it out. You still game old man?

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

I'm going to give it my best shot, pretty much all I can do.
How many laps?

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Looks like there is a dead heat according to the poll thus far. Maybe this race can include Patman and the race can start on the track and finish up in the woods. The anticipation is starting to get to me.

Posted by: TwinSpar---------------------

I don't recall the modified 420 or stock 426 walking away from the half liter wanna be minibike. They might have pulled the babyF a bit (and possibly more given a long straight) but you have to be able to carry more speed into a corner to make that extra HP effective. Watch what you say about these minibike riders. You wouldn't want to be shamed by a lesser bike.

What's this???? I seem to be sticking up for a fellow BabyF rider, even though he's from the north... Could a change be in the wind? Is Missouri North or South? I found an ad for a hotel company in the "show me" state that fits me to a tee...

Posted by: RMrider---------------------

opps I clicked new thread instead of reply. heres what I meant to be a reply

Okie,

Why not ride the AF if you still have it. Shouldnt this run a little closer than the 250F? Or is this a balle of the thumpers? Anyways, my votes on Okie cause I've never ran across any of Thumps posts before but Okie seems like a cool guy .

SHOW EM WHOS BOSS OKIE!!!!!!!!

Ty

I might have a replacemt bike soon so I'll get to see this grudge match:D

Why don't you just see who shows up at the starting gate 1st and then call it quits? Ha!

Okie, that was just too easy

-jeffd (as if I could go more than 1 or 2 laps myself!)

Quote:

Patman is in a noncompete mode until further orders from the doc but, that don't include talkin' smack at which I might possibly be the King.

Besides with Okie and Thump spankin' each other I don't know that the woods will be a safe place to hide unless there into doin' that type of thing out on the track in which case they risk getting run over by other riders or joined by GOMER! Anyway you look at it I'm going to watch from the side lines.....er, I mean........Uh,......

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

But you see, I'm old, he's young and athletic, his bike is faster and he's faster. The only chance I have to not get lapped is if the number of laps is low, how about 3?

Posted by: TwinSpar---------------------

I still like 10 laps. But I guess that isn't going to happen with the rekindling of the admin battle.

I actually believe that Okie is setting Thump up for a sound spanking.

Posted by: Patman---------------------

Okie's just tryin' to play mind games, he just doesn't realize he's tryin' to hit a gnat with a BB on the side of a black barn

Posted by: MX221---------------------

How lame! 1 lap? Are you men or girls? Have you guys been hanging out with Stevieberry lately? Come on! Let's make it the standard issue 4 laps. Just agree to it now and save your pride. You two can practice starts behind the gate to intimidate each other if you want, but 1 lap? What the hell kind of game is that. Okie, I've lost some respect for you because of that Thump are you sure you want to do this? You don't have a good record of grudge matches. The first one your wife got hurt and the second you got hurt. Dude I'll go in your place. To make things fair to Okie, I'll even ride your diesel pig, without a clutch lever.

Shane
never one to let things rest

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Shane, I will take care of Okie, no worries but we do need you to ride in the North vs South Race.... Purty please????

Now in all honesty, I am a slow spode so for all of you expecting to see a good fast race.... get ready to see 1 old fast guy beating up on a young slow guy.:silly:

Posted by: Patman---------------------

Shane, Shane, Shane, Shane..........

(maybe bring a XR50 Shane, that might make it a closer match):D

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Okay... 4 laps. Am I allowed to walk the last one?

Posted by: TwinSpar---------------------

Here we go again.:silly:

It's a repeat of last year's boasting of who is better/faster rider that ultimately ends in a contest of who can claim to be the slowest.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

We already know who is the slowest TwinSpode... :silly:
That would be you.

Posted by: TwinSpar---------------------

10 laps????

Posted by: BillyWho---------------------

12

Posted by: Shaw520---------------------

You know my money is you Okie! I've seen your relentless endurance and blinding speed on the track!!!

(I got the ten bucks you sent, but I couldnt find a small enough hose clamp to put on Thumps fuel line,.....will a cloths pin work?) :D

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

LOL!!

Posted by: wardy---------------------

shane leave you chest protector at home again!

i got a brand new tire ready.

as for the rest of this little deal, 1/2 lap is good for me hell maybe the holeshot? not racing this year i just hope i don't fall anywhere near goober!

scary thought for sure.

:scream:

oh hell by the way okie will still be kickin that piglet while we all go out and ride the track.......2 minute rule will be enforced! gate drops no matter......course need somone to drop the dam thing!

Posted by: stevenb8---------------------

OK, guys ive been busy and working alot lately and havent been om DRN alot.

Thump you never did let me put a whooping on you first. Why dont we meet again so I can whoop you and twinspar so you can get a taste of what okie is going to do to you, just dont crash this time.

When we were going to do our match the loser had to wear pink gear and no visor also. I think you would look good in some pink gear; heck it will match your thongs THUMP

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Stevenb8 returns. Proceed with some rituous trash talk.

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Stevie... Stevie... Stevie...
Okie and I joke about this stuff because we are both average speed and can battle with the best of them... You however are truely slow. If you really want to find out let me know but be warned, I will not be kind to you, I will not wait on you to make you feel like you could have won, I will humiliate you. I have riden with you, watched you ride with others and I am confident of my statements. You are a good guy but smack talkin' aint your thing bubba, you got to have something to back it up.

Posted by: stevenb8---------------------

You have only watched me ride once, I dont know where yuou get your information from but you may want to check again. Heck im currently out of a job so I may make it to the dirt week after all!!!! :silly:

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Okay you jobless wonder of the world, next time I go riding... prolly Sunday, I will see if you want to tag along and get spanked. Sound good to you?

Posted by: stevenb8---------------------

Ok, let me know and I would like to ride with you guys sometime soon.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

Fast forward to 2002 ...
How did this year old post come back up? Someone must have voted, lol.

Posted by: Senior KX Rider---------------------

Must be about time for the smack talk to begin

Posted by: BSWIFT---------------------

Ressurected. This could get interesting.

Anybody else notice that the "f" after YZ250 isn't capitalized, but the one after YZ420 is?

Posted by: oldguy---------------------

Cause it is a baby f.

Posted by: super rat---------------------

Man I feel bad 45! I'm sorry, I didn't know you were an old guy. Your dirt nap is out of the question you might break a hip. As far as the race goes we need to even the playing feild. 125's !!!!!!! Yea you two guys on 125's there is no where to hide on a 125. I should have two of them by then that I will let you guys use. I'll even show you guys how to use that lever by the left grip. Now that would be fun to watch

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

While 45 is a stretch, how bad are you going to feel getting beat by an "oldguy"? Just make sure you show-up youngin.

Posted by: stevenb8---------------------

Why is stevenberry not one of the options in the vote? Thump can do whatever he wants to that bike my pretty pink barbie bike will walk all over his black turd.

I jusst wish I could ride at the moment :whiner:

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Steve, did you forget our last outing? Thick headed I guess....

Ratboy, for an old guy the okster gets along pretty dang good and what he lacks in speed he makes up for in dirty riding.... my suggestion to you is to stay off the track with him and let the real men with real bike ride with him. 125's are pit bikes aren't they? we graduated a long time ago. When you reach puberty you will understand. LOL

Okie, you better get your act together... cause this year the Battle of the Admins is going to be a scheduled event. And I am ready....

BTW It aint a 420 anymore.... Billy did away with that motor.

Posted by: SndyRds---------------------

As an uniformed, unbiased, and unquailified observer. I question that Thump has offered up a challenge to Okie. Advertising that he has the ability to win this match-up. And has offered up the usual, humiliating, price for defeat. Seeing how that Thump has claimed a secured victory. If in fact Okie wins, this battle, What would be Thumps price to pay? Remember I have never met either gentleman, and am basing my interest, on this post. Do we have a handicap here, or some type of betting odds? Should Thump's price be proportional to his ability to win, IF by chance he should lose?
Also we have the problem, that if ONE has called out the OTHER, in a public forum, and the ONE has an inherent superiority. The OTHER has to accept the challenge even if defeat is eminent ( being publically called out ). Who decides the fate of Thump if he looses? Do you Thump offer up a price for defeat since you chose Okie's punishment? Or does OKIE decide?,,,

Now you must excuse me I have a fire to fight,,, Would you hand me that can that say's petrol on it!!

Posted by: super rat---------------------

Ratboy... my suggestion to you is to stay off the track with him and let the real men with real bike ride with him. 125's are pit bikes aren't they? we graduated a long time ago. When you reach puberty you will understand. LOL

What is it with you Texans? You have the biggest cars that you can get. 90% of the black, super duty, dully, 4x4 SUV's that I see in the ditch have texas tags. (Texas draw on) " Hey boy give me the biggest dam truck you have. While your at it get me a big dam hat and some big dam horns for the hood so I can push them lil' foreign cars out of way. Oh yea boy, get me the biggest dam bike you got then make it bigger."

HAHA, I love you Texans. Hey when I kick your butt at dirtweek I'll make shure I do it on my pit bike. Oh man this is going to be fun.

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

There's just something about super rat that's always rubbed me the wrong way... not sure what it is? Guess you can't judge someone before meeting them in person, so I won't, but I've got a pretty strong feeling my opinion won't change, lol.

Couple of things though.
1) We'll see, if/when;
a) you even show-up and
b) you can beat an old man on a bike. Better hope so, you'll look pretty bad after that smack.

2) Keep up the shots at Mr. Thump, you may have to prove you can "kick his butt" OFF the bike before you get a chance to do it ON a bike. ... I'm looking forward to his reaction to your post, lol.

I think I have an idea. Could it be he's a P O S E R ? :D

Posted by: super rat---------------------

What am I POSING as? Maybe I am and dont even know it. I have never seen any of you guys ride so how could I say that I faster? I'm busting all in good fun. I thought Thumps calling me ratboy was funny so I tryed to make a funny back. You have some prety thin skin. Maybe you can set up a pit for me at dirt week way in the back away from everone so I dont piss anyone else off

Posted by: Okiewan---------------------

You might want to use smilies when tossing the smack, it'll help people understand where you're coming from. Just a suggestion.

Posted by: Mikeb---------------------

I aint real sure I want to see 2 grown men spanking each other :scream:

Posted by: Thump---------------------

Well it was either Ratboy or Ratbasta** and the censorship always catches that one. I am a pretty good judge of character, usually with in 5-10 minutes you'll know what I think. I take no offense to your comments and do hope you show up to DW02, I would love to be humiliated on a WIDE OPEN MX track that Guy Cooper builds for his Big Bore KTM because that would mean I would get to see a REALLY fast guy which would be cool. Keep in mind, I am smack talker extrodinare, in reality I am an average beginer MX'r at best, but hey, I don't back out of challenges so if you got one in mind and show the stones to come..... I guess you and the pit bike are on, Christ I will be 30 by then... an old guy... come on, I know you can do it. LOL.

Okie this does not mean you are off the hook yanno? BOA02 is still on as we discussed.

Posted by: Patman---------------------

BOA'02 = Thump & Okie in a Sumo ring (somebody better bring some "Crack Spackle")
