What is the Snakebite Enduro like in Grand Junction, Colorado??

Posted by: colorado-high---------------------

It is a combo of single track ,sand washes and a little dirt road. You will ride on sand, clay.small loose rocks and big rocks. It will be wide open in places then take you thru tight pinon trees. The only problem could be dust if we dont get any rain.

What trees?

I did the event last year and dont remember anything but a few cottonwoods along a creek.

It was a fun event just the same, I voted it enduro of the year for RMEC. Lots of fun sandwashes and interesting terrain that runs along small ridge tops that consist of decomposed clay. Last year it rained the night before the event and the trail was great, they routed us down a dry creek bed for about 10 miles but it wasnt dry in the morening! It was a good time all around.

So,
some pretty good wide open stuff....?
What kind of tires do you guys run?

What about timekeeping? Sounds like all known checks....

I run the same tires I always do, 756 rear and new favorite M-12 front. There are spots that are wide open and lots of technical ones too. Timekeeping is non existant on this enduro, it consists of specail tests. You get checked in and out of them which are know controlls.
