pds spring comparisons

How does a 8.4 spring compare to a PDS03. I know the spring rates but how do they compare? Do they ride about the same ?
It's on a ktm400 exc. I'm about 180 pounds

PDS3 = 8.0~10.3kg/mm.
How do they compare? Well, ones a straight rate and the others progressive. Kind of like comparing apples and oranges.......

A straight rate 8.4 will be too soft for your weight. You can get the proper race sag, but I bet there will not be any free sag. 8.8 would be more in the ballpark if straight rate is the way you want to go. I prefer the straight rate spring on my 520 exc FWIW.
