Jackhammer Enduro

Has the Jackhammer been canceled? I just looked at the Dist 36 site, and it has disappeared from the schedule.

I toured the Stonyford area on Tuesday with USFS personal. The three fall AMA/D36 Enduros are cancelled. The Jackhammer, WFO, Bearfoot Family Enduro. I think official word will be out any day.

All I will say is that if a wriiten apology from Blue Ribbon Coalitions Don Amador does not appear soon, I will not be renewing my Blue Ribbon Coalition membership.

Stonyford suffered far less damage than I expected. For the most part they lost virtually all the barriers and a couple picnic tables. Of course it looks like hell with all the trees and vegetation burnt. Much progress has occured replacing barriers and falling unsafe trees. If you are planning to ride Stonyford, you should stage over at Little Stony OHV staging area. Please stay out of the burn area and off the new fire breaks. There is plenty of trails to ride outside of the burn area, help out and don't ride in the burn and for sure stay on the trail.

What happened? When was the fire? I'm out of the loop here. I've never ridden Stonyford but I've heard all kinds of good stories about it. Does a local club maintain it? I might try to stop by there next year.

Hello Dave Thanks for letting us know about the enduro's, You peeked my interest in your coment about the BRC, If you don't want to say I'll understand. Thanks for putting on your classes, now I'll try and remember what I learned. Kraig Traum

endoqwest, Stonyford is a public area open for riding and managed and maintained by the USFS. For Northern California riders, it is one of the better places to ride offering a variety of trails. It has been used for over thirty years to put on enduros such as the Jackhammer, Bearfoot and WFO. It is located about an hour an a half east of Maxwell, California.

This news means that the fall enduro schedule has been cut almost in half. I don't know what Dave was referring to regarding the Blue Ribbon Coalition, but it does not sound good. Hopefully, we will get our enduros back next year.

Kraig, I guess this solves my dilemma concerning how to get in the Donner HS and the Jackhammer enduro. I'll see you and George at Donner.

Has the cancellation of the WFO been confirmed? I've got some conflicts coming up, and knowing this in advance would be a big help.

Dave,
What does the apology from Don Amador have to do with Stoneyford and why should we care? If you state something like that without explanation it can be contrued as anything, which maybe be detrimental to you the BRC and
others.

Please let us know why you have a problem with the BRC ?
