I might me heading out to Elsinore tomorrow. My neighbors son is racing there tomorrow also. Should be pretty cool and I want to check out this new track. I hear it's closed for tomorrow's races. Just look for the only, or one of few, KDX's.

Sorry I didn't meet up with you. I tried to ride a little but I was too worried about missing my friend's race. That's a cool looking track. Can't wait to ride on it!!

Same here Fred 2, man it was hotter than heck out here ( insert sweat'in icon here ). believe it or not I haven't been on any track since '72 and I'm dying to try the vet track, maybe this week.

I thought you rode with LT, MXDad and those guys at Elsinore that one Wednesday. I usually only ride the Vet's track and maybe do a few of the jumps on the big track. But the GFI track looks pretty cool. I think I'd like to try that the next time I go out.
Where do you ride? I've been wanting to take a sick day, cough cough, some day soon and hit Phelan or maybe even Ocatillo. Haven't really decided yet.
I just got my bike dual-sported and I'm dying to try some trails.

No I had a meeting that day,all I did was shoot some pix for them, still alot of fun and great people.
I have been riding Quail Valley which is out by Perris airport kinda fun, been riding there since '85 good variety of terrain lots of trails,hills, nasty whoops,sand wash and jumps, but the locals have decided to start using for a dump ( pissies me off ) also ride gilman sping,Indio and out by camp rock but that's to hot now.
I'm up to riding anything and anywhere, I'm really bored with my areas

How about a Corona ride later in the week? If it cools down? JP, Bones, Fred(DCMG), LT, Thumbs, Scar, RM, elk, anyone????
Oh yea. MXDad, time to pay the piper.
JP. With a little work, I think we can connect the trails you are talking about with the trails we ride here in Corona. The only part I'm not sure about is getting across Hwy. 74 to Canyon Lake. I heard that area is closed now.

Sorry guys, I think that the GFI track is only for racing. As far as I know, they don't allow practice on it.
Although with any luck, maybe I'm wrong on that one :confused:

I probably won't be able to do a mid-week ride till next week. Tuesday or Thursday most likely.

GFI put on the race and I don't think there will be that many races there. From now on we should be able to go ride on it though. Not sure how they'll charge for it. Or they'll probably just take down a fence.

How's the practicing going? Can't wait to get out to the Terry training grounds.

Okay, just called Elsinore. I guess that the track is giong to be a night track! It should be open sometime later in the month. He also said that it would be used as an overflow track on the weekends.
It's cool that they're opening it up. They've built it before, but never let anybody practice on it--although I do think that they ran some MX classes on it.

Since no one answered my question, I'm guessing here.
I took a Mickey Diamond class on a totaly different track. It was behind the Big track. If its the same track, its awsome. It's so much fun!!

Sorry J_dem, yes I believe that is the track. I've heard people say that it is fun. Like I said, as far as I knew they only let a couple of MX Schools ride it and it's had a couple of races. It should be cool having a night track--too bad it wasn't open during the summer when we really needed it!

Thursday afternoon is looking good so far. Should be a little cooler too.
Fred(DCMG). The practicing is going pretty good. I can do 6 laps now without needing oxygen.:confused:

Ya, no kidding. A night track will be sweet!! I'll ride in the rain! I did it when I just started riding in January/Febuary. It's just slick for awhile longer.:scream: And you know how slick Elsinore can get with that damn lake dirt.:confused:
I really need to get a ride in soon. I'm bursting to ride!! It's been a while, but no funds to help support the cost of gas to get there and pay for the intry fee.

I can't this week but next Thurs is a good possibility. Hey Fred, and anyone else, we are riding out by Silverwood lake on the Sat. the 13th. Check the Arrowhead posts. I'm up for a Midweek ride next week too. Feeling a little sick at work, you know! I was thinking Elsinore Thursday morning the 10th? can't Wed, I've got to pick up my wife's stupid catz from the Vet, bummer.

Had some business come up this week. Going to have to move the Corona ride to next week on the 11th. Doesn't look like too many can make it this week anyway. Also, it hasn't cooled off much this week.

Silverwood? Is that near Big Bear? Can't do the 13th but I'm looking for a good day ride in the next few weeks.

I've never ridden there but looking at the map, it seems that Silverwood is on the back side of Arrowhead which is then West of Big Bear. Got it? I hope I don't get lost. I think an Ocotillo trip is in the near future, probably 1st part of November.

Sounds good buddy. I can't wait for it. I'm thinking about finding a day during the week to do Phelan. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks. ?????
