would premium("supreme +") gas from a gas station work in a yz250f since it's a 4-stroke? would it still be healthy for it? Thanks in advance.

I believe most people run 91-93 octane fuel, which is the stuff you can get at the pump. I believe Yamaha also recommends you do not run race fuel, but some people do.

thanks! has anyone street legalized their yz250f? I'm thinking of doing this since the bike costs so much. :confused:

I think there are some kits to do this. Baja Designs has one for the 426, but I don't know if it would work for the 250. Good Luck!

actually, running race fuel is not as all bad for your F. I believe eric gorr has an article on fuel that you should read. Also, do a search in this forum on fuel. Someone posted the exact same question and Rohrich thoroughly went through the topic and corrected any misinformation. :think
BTW, I run 103 octane with great results.
