Wanted XR / XL exhaust system.

Looking for an exhuast system (muffler section in particular) NOS or Aftermarket (preferrably aftermarket) for a '81-'82 XR500R or '82 XL500R.

This fits an 83XR500R. You might call and find out if it will fit your 82. Does yours have the pro-link or dual shocks?

Thanks for the info. , but the '83 was different (subtly) frame wise.
(may have been full cradle vs stressed engine)
'83 was also RFVC engine equipped.

'81-'82 XR-R was almost identical to '82 XL-R.

Appreciate the tip though.

My wife's '92 XR250R came with a 'custom' made head pipe, mid section (from something) and Supertrapp. I replaced it with a stock header and FMF Perform-o-max. I've sold the Supertrapp but still have the header & mid pipe - might work on your bike with minor mods. If you'd like I can send some digital pics or I'll even send you the parts if you want to try them out.
