Poker Run South of Sedalia MO?

I hear by word of mouth there is a poker run south of Sedalia MO on Nov. 4. Does anyone have more information on this? Like driving directions, entrance fees, start time, riding impressions, ETC.

It is a fun ride. Good woods, fire roads to run it WFO. A group of us from KC plan on going, myself depending on when our newest little one shows. I've got the info @ work, I'll post it tomorrow. BTW, the location is more towrds Cole Camp. Fun ride.

There are actually two rides coming up, one is this weekend. Give Freedom Cycles in KC a call @ 816-761-2220-Jeff Stanfield has the info. The other one in the Cole Camp area is the Sunday following Thanksgiving, starting @ noon. Again the flyers can be found at most local shops as far as direstions go. I'll post directions for the late November one in a few days.

The one this Sunday I heard starts at 11:45 (riders meeting), is $3 at the entrance and $10 to ride. I hear you take highway 65 south out of Sedalia then turn East on V highway. How far I don't know, or how accurate that info is. I planning on being there. I also plan on going to the one on Nov. 25 near Colecamp, I rode it last fall.

Hey guys....I'm kinda new to the poker run scene. I've done several enduros and hare scrambles, though. Is this similiar to a poker run the strret bikers do? I live near Chadwick, but would like to try something new. Do you have any additonal info? Thanks.:think

I've only been to a couple, but the one's I've been to are a non-competition ride through a marked trail through the woods. They give you a playing card at sign up and one at the end of each loop and an additional one after you completed all 3 loops and they give prizes of some sort to the best poker hands. I enjoy it because I know I'm not slowing somebody up who is trying to win a race!

Sounds like fun....I think I'll bring the family. Hope we run into each other (not literally). I'll be on a new 520 KTM with blue and black graphics. Later.

Hey wfocrusty did you make the Poker Run? I didn't catch your reply till today. I didn't notice a KTM with such graphics, but maybe you passed me so fast I never noticed!:D Maybe we'll run into each other another time(not literally). Steve

Yeah, we were late though. I got stuck in traffic on 65 and didn't get there until right after the start. I blew through my three laps and got my cards by 2:15. Me and the kid rode a couple of laps on the short course afterwards. Didn't get a trophy (I'm lousy at poker anyway), but I had fun! Maybe we can hook up some other time.:D
