'94 YZ250- Fatty or Gnarly?

The pipe on my '94 YZ250 is getting pretty beat up and I need to replace it. Which brand/model should I get? I realize it's an old bike, but it's good enough for me for the time being.
The cylinder was recently done by Eric Gorr and bored to 265 cc- and I use an FMF spark arrester. I ride mostly desert and some motocross- and I'm a slow senior.
Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Dear Tentbound,
Pipes are bumpers for dirt bikes so get yourself one that resembles the one from your grandpa's 59 Oldsmobile! A Gnarley out to be just perfect.
Good luck, Eric

Eric, thanks for the info on the pipe.
BTW, the big bore 265cc kit you recently did on my '94 YZ250 cylinder worked great. Very linear powerband that works great for my riding style. That effort will probably allow me to keep the bike a couple more years as the engine is so awsome now.

It may be an older bike, but the 94 YZ 250 has a great engine!! I bought my 94 used a few years back and it is one of the best 2 smokes I've ever owned. The engine has great power all through the range from bottom to top. While I was having my bottom end re-built, I sent my cylinder to Eric Gorr and opted for the all round "Mo Better" performance porting. This bike is just plain AWESOME now !!! I will put my 94 YZ 250 on the line against any of the newer model bikes. I will hang on to this bike until the frame falls apart around the engine.
I can't help you with your pipe question, as I've always had a pro-circuit pipe on mine and it performs great. I primarily trail ride, and my pipe has some major dings in it as well. I recently purchased a pipe guard, and will probably buy another pro-circuit pipe this winter. If your going to ride desert and you want the next pipe to last, I would definitely go with the Gnarly by FMF. Eric's right, 2 stroke pipes are like Red Headed step children . . . their gonna get beat !!!
