It`s been 2weeks since i broke my leg,Besides the pain the worst part is not being able to do the normal everyday things we take for granted.I have a hard cast to my hip so i cant drive, take a shower etc.I`ll have to wear the cast 4 more weeks then hopefully i`ll get a walking cast or maybe a boot. It`s a real pain trying to sleep with the cast because i have to keep it elevated and i get a lot of cramping because of being in the same position all the time. The worst part though is not being able to ride and knowing i wont for at least 6 more months.I dont ride dirt bikes much in the summer, just street so it will problaly be about this time next before i will get to do any serious riding.I just bought a yz250f,was on my second ride on it when it happened,my son has claimed it so it`s not going to sit around and wait for me.It`s going to be a long winter changing channels on the tv looking for something to watch, you know what they say-200 channels and nothing to watch. All of you keep on riding and i`ll keep up with things on this site:D

At least your son is thinking of you, I mean it takes a very thoughtful person to do something so special as riding you brand new bike for you so it doesn't go to waste.
I hope you have a speedy recovery and don't go out of your mind watching the ole boob tube.

I know exactally what your going through. I broke my leg a while back. Just got the cast cut off today and now I'm in the boot. The boot is wonderful, you can take it off to bathe and sleep.
Hope you recover soon!

Those normal everyday things we normally take for granted can be so nice to do. When I was laid up I had to do a wheel chair stint for 10 weeks since both legs were stuck out in front of me. I have an older house that is unfriendly to wheelchairs, too , so I could only go between the living room and the kitchen. That first shower should feel 100 times better than normal, tho. When you get the cast off, get ready for lots of dead skin ( oh boy!), and alot of muscle atrophy. Good luck!:D
