'94 Honda XR250R

1994 Honda XR250R purchased new in '97. Original owner was an older guy who only rode it a few times a year and babied it, polished it and changed the oil after each ride. My wife bought it at the beginning of this year and has rode it for one season. The bike is completely stock with the exception of aluminum handlebars and Michelin S-12 tires front and rear. It has been maintained religiously. This year, the oil and filter has been changed every two rides and the air filter cleaned every ride. $2200.00

You wouldn't have a way to get it to Seattle would you?
Posted by: AnneBrooks---------------------
Ochster, we can certainly investigate it. I don't have much experience transporting motorcycles via LTL, but we could investigate it. Any other suggestions?

Put it this way... I would not be willing to pay any more than your adv. price. But if it was to show up on my door step, and truly was original and clean, I have a buyer. Send me some digital pics if you can. Any DRNers heading this way with a truck?

Ochster, we'll get you some pictures of it.

Bob, you should post the pic's you sent me. If they are current pictures, that bike is pristine. Of course, my offer still stands.

Ochster, that's a good suggestion on the photos. We'll try to get those up soon. We haven't yet dismissed your offer either, we're still researching it but haven't come up with a reasonably priced shipping method as of yet. Thanks for the input, and we'll keep you posted.

If you can crate it and take it to your local airport, contact Foward Air. They will probably ship it for under $200

Just had Lawman ship me his KTM 400E/XC. he shipped it in a metal and wood crate (get them from your local dealer, usually free) that a GSXR came in.
He built it STURDY so it was heavy:scream: total cost of shipping (not including hardware and plywood to complete the box) was under $200 from Nashville to Denver.
You pick it up at their facility (usually by the airport)

Bob,
Seattle International Airport is 5 minutes away from me.

Thanks for all the information, guys. Ochster, very interesting that you're only five minutes from the airport. I will do some sniffing around next week and see what I can come up for shipping crates and contact Forward Air for a quote. Thanks.

Bob, talk to AJ about shipping bikes. He does it all the time.

Was it to a DRN'er?
Posted by: AnneBrooks---------------------
Actually no, it was to a local guy, not a DRN person.
