My wife rides a 01 cr-125 she races the women’s open and the 125 beginner. shes about a mid pack rider against the boys and generally wins the women’s class. My problem is that I’ve been turning clickers up and down for months and haven’t found a sweet spot. If you could please would you give me the correct spring rates, oil height and what oil to use. I know most people just send their stuff to you and have it done but I cant afford it right now so any advise you could give me would be greatly appreciated thank you p.s. my wife and I race outdoor tracks much like woshougal she weighs about 125lbs without gear. Thanks again.

Im not jer but i will give my advice,i would go for 0.38 fronts and 4.3 rear.On oil weights it may be worth trying 2.5wt as the valving is very stiff on the 01 cr.Try a oil height(air gap) of 110mm.

thankyou, MARC. for the info. I called around and those spring rates are right on . Do you or anyone else know if just changing the springs will make a significant difference or do I need to have them revalved as well . Keep in mind that i,m trying to make my wifes bike work better without spending alot of money. thankyou.

The springs alone will make a good difference and if you change the oil for a 2.5wt front and rear it will act like the low speed comp and rebound are a bit lighter which is needed as the 01 CR125 has alot of rebound on the rear with the std 4.7kg/mm spring(so it will rebound slower with the 4.3).I did this on a 1990 KX250 which was way stiff for me and it made a nice difference for the money spent-it if its no good its only 2 tubs of oil
