We do a lot of "billygoat" riding in addition to track riding. I'm thinking of regearing the thing, to a pretty drastic degree, to take away some speed in first gear, like maybe 1/2 of it. Anybody done the same? What's the hot ticket?
There are times on some of our rides where you never get past second gear for an hour or two.
Thanks,

If I were you I'd only go two teeth on the rear. But I have an exhaust that adds alot more bottom end to the 250F so if you are running something stock than you might want to add 3.
Just my 2c.

What exhaust are you using that helps with the low end.

I'm running a DSP SX header with a 426 exhaust. I have an adapter for the E-Series (White Bros) disks to mount to it. It's not light but it runs real well.
You do loss some on top but not much. I'd like to find an exhaust that is lighter to work with the DSP header. The DSP header is smaller initially than the stock but then tapers out the a larger diameter than stock before it enters the muffer inlet pipe.
