Eric Gore Certificate

For all of you who attended DW01 and recieved the gift certificate from Eric Gore, how many have used it? I'm trying to decide on getting my sons kx60 or my wifes kx80 ported for the woods or just using it to get the performance handbook.
My son has grown use to the pipeness of the 60 and will soon move up to the 80. My younger son will then move up to the 60. I know that my oldest son will be unhappy if he loses any zip of the 60, but my younger son could sure use the porting. So I lean to using it on the 80, but it won't be rode by the kid seriously for another year or so.

Dang it..........Eric had to go and give me this thing and start all this worrying. :think

That's what I went with. Great book. You won't be sorry.

i got the book too. and maybe you'll get another certificate next year. use it for the porting, by then he'll be ready.

bit of advice...have someone else give him riding instructions.

haha, so funny I forgot to laugh.:silly:

how about gassing up the gas gas?

jay, have you sold the 250 yet?

Posted by: justql---------------------

I'm going to send the suspension to mxtech, that'll take all the money I can spend on it, the motor is good stock.

MX still has his cr, he'll ride it for another year probably.

i took it out of the classifieds. it's still for sale, i'm just not actively trying to sell it. i don't have a problem keeping it for another year. it's still practically new. it probably only has about 40 hours on it, maybe less. it's been ridden so little that it still has the original clutch in it, original graphics too. but then again, it is a honda.

I'll be using my gift certificate to have my CR punched to 133 (144 perhaps :think )
I've already got the book, it's great

Posted by: motometal---------------------

mx, I have a truck like that, so tired of trying to sell it, but the truck has to go....

whatever you do, don't ever read the test in MXA where it tells us that the 2001 CR250 has no low end power and the graphics fly off after 2.3 laps! If it's in print, it must be true!

(by the way, I still have my stock shrowd graphics, too...still have the custom "motometal" stickers as well!)

ahh, but mine's a '00. i have a whole year on you. if i'm quoting mag's, i just tell everyone that the '00 cr 250 was mxracer's bike of the year and cycleworld's best mx bike ever.

Unfortunately I lost mine.
There's still a chance it will turn up somewhere.

Posted by: Jaybird---------------------

If you liked the maint. book, you'll also love the riding techinique book.

Posted by: Hogwylde---------------------

I used mine for a Cometic topend gasket kit. Took a little while to get it here, but I had to get the rest of the top end parts anyway. Funny......the certificate was worth $25 dollars off work....or a free gasket kit (mine kit was $35 according to the Cometic site)....did I get a good deal or rip Eric off for $10 bucks???

I went with the performance handbook. what a world of knowledge! the guys at work are fightin over who gets to look at it over lunch!

Call Eric and let him know you lost your certificate he'll honor it.

Posted by: KXKen---------------------

Rich, normally I would chalk up something like this to my own stupidity but if you think it's cool to call him I will.

Absolutely do it.

I ordered the gasket kit. I got my "Xtreme" piston in the other day. Nice looking, ceramic coated dome, with teflon on the sides. The Mamba will have some fresh horses real soon. The Offroad Handbook is awsome, a bunch of good reading and great info for a pro or a novice. Thanks Eric for the gift certificates. It was a pleasure to visit with you a DW01, even though I may have had a few, FEW, too many adult sodas but at least my back pain was tolerable.
