Two throttle cables?

I was just wondering why do most 4-strokes have two throttle cables (push-pull type throttles)? I originally thought that it was because of they had pumper carbs until I realized that the XR400 does not have a pumper carb, but still has a push-pull throttle. Having ridden ****s for 17 years, and owning a Honda 400ex, I know that these four strokes do not have push-pull throttles. Yet they have similar carbs.

I am assuming that you meant Q U A D's? is the word Q U A D now a swear word or something? Usually asterix's (*) appear when you are swearing.
look at my signature I had to "modify" it.

Okay, but I have gotten tired of taking my beating riding xxxxs and switched to bikes. Although I still own one to use around the house, and my wife refuses to convert and still rides a xxxx.

four strokes create a lot of vacume and it could hold the slide open:scream:

Okay, that makes sense.
I guess that on xxxx's they use a stiffer spring on the slide.
