XR650, Bold New Graphics?

A friend of mine from work (soon to be DRN member), is considering buying a 2001 xr650 from a local dealer. It appears to be a really good deal but he is wondering if there is any difference between the 01 and 2002? Any help would be appreciated.

No difference between the '01 and '02 models, just BNG as you stated.

Sounds like a good deal. It seems new XR650 sales have came to a stand still, as I got mine dirt cheap, too.

I own a 2000, same thing, the 2002 has a new seatcover and graphics, no other significant changes from the original.
Come to think of it, I went into a couple of dealers last week and it looks like there is more stock on all dirt bikes than I can ever remember.

Loco you're right. My XR600 that I traded off for my 650 has been sitting at the dealership for 6 months now. They have a YZ400F thats been there even longer.

From what I remember there were some minor fixes between 01 & 02 that I read about at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/XR650R
Something to do with the clutch bushing and the countershaft seal I think. Post your question on that site for more information.
